A farmer from Kheri district alleges his pregnant wife was sold by her parents to a man in Sitapur. He claims his wife was forcibly made to terminate her pregnancy and sold against her will. Police registered a case after the DGP’s intervention, despite the alleged political influence of his wife’s father. The investigation is ongoing.
