A model and former Femina Miss India contestant, Shivankita Dixit, was reportedly scammed out of Rs 99,000 by cybercriminals posing as CBI officers. They falsely accused her of involvement in illicit activities and threatened arrest unless she paid. Dixit realized it was a scam only after informing her family. Police are investigating this “digital arrest” tactic.
